Now, inflammation is a process that is often associated with an acute injury. A lot of people sometimes fear that word. Now, inflammation is a very very normal process that is needed to start the healing process. So, one of the key objectives with injury, particularly acute injury, is not stopping inflammation, but managing that acute inflammatory process, which generally persists over 2-3 days, and then following that, then commencing an appropriate rehabilitation program that gets tissues moving, gets strength back, regains mobility, and basically allows you to return to function.
